Mihail Cristian PÎRLOG, PhD
PhD, MPH, Lecturer at the Faculty of Medicine – University of Medicine and Pharmacy of Craiova, and Director of Department for Didactical Training of the same university; Sociologist and Coordinator of National Mental Health Program – Prophylaxis in Psychiatric Pathology developed by Romanian Ministry of Health and Clinical Hospital of Neuropsychiatry of Craiova; President of Mental Health Association of South-Eastern Europe (MHASEE), member of European Scientific Association on Schizophrenia and other Psychoses (ESAS), European Psychiatric Association – Section of Suicidology and Suicide Prevention (EPA-SSSP), European Public Health Association (EUPHA) – Section on Chronic Diseases.
Former journalist in radio and printed media. He has been involved in four projects within Fogarty University of California Berkeley REMASTER Program as well as in other national and international research projects and clinical trials in the field of mental health.
His research interests are in social and economic factors involved in psychiatric pathology and mental illness stigma.
